Check out these mutant tomatoes my dad's growing! An update at Reaganite Sr.'s garden
See crazy beefsteak tomatoes, stems that grow over 7 feet tall, compost/manure tea out of a rain barrel, bearded ladies, peanut pumpkins, watch as Reaganite gets partially soaked in manure/compost tea, ... ok, no bearded ladies, but I'm pretty sure his soil came from Fukashima to produce such teenage mutant ninja turtle tomato monsters. Come on in, adjust your computer screen, put on your radiation suit, and sample Reaganite71's channel. Hello Reaganite77, Just a question. I know your father said Whole Milk, I used that but with 2% low fat. I put it on 3 of My tomatoes and they seam to have shut down. No growth in Plant or Tomatoes. No sure what I did but think it may have some type of fungus or something.Leaves and plant look fine just no growth. May not even be because of the Milk. I have enough plants and Tomatoes so it really is okay with me. Any Ideas? By the way switching to Big Boy Tom's. I cant believe they are that huge. Weigh those puppies this year. Thank You, Love your videos.

Never thought someone would need a ladder to harvest tomatoes lol :o)

I love your Dad's garden.

Hello Mr. Reaganite. I apologize if you already covered this topic: You ever think to remove the triple blossoms when they come in (like suckers) to make room for the pretty tomatoes to grow? I see there were many triples in dad's patch and they were dwarfing many of the good ones.

Woooooooo

I haven't had any issues with them. When I get bugs I use my tonic from the greenup and bug tonic video.

Do you guys ever have trouble with "red spider mites"? If so, any natural tips on getting rid of them (or at least keeping them away)?
-
Nice. Good luck.
-
I got my seeds from Orchard House Heirlooms a few months back. I'll be harvesting seeds this year though.
-
oh ok. i cant wait to get my compost tea started this season.
-
Yeah about middle may to sept if were lucky ive ok luck with tomatoes but brussel sprouts 3 years failed got about 5 inches tall and never moved. Do u harvest your own seeds or which company do u buy from?
-
I will say one thing though. Freshly completed compost that's teeming with beneficial bacteria along with worms and the good stuff they leave behind makes growing soooo much easier. It gives the plants exactly what it wants and doesn't over feed them like too much fertilizer can. Don't get me wrong, there can be times when fertilizer is necessary (Corn is a heavy feeder), but good rich compost is the ticket.
