Case Study - Coleambally Irrigation

Coleambally Irrigation is now one of the world’s most efficient open canal irrigation supply systems, saving 65 gigalitres (53000 acre-feet, 65hm3) per year, every year. The district is located in the Riverina area of New South Wales, within Australia’s water stressed Murray-Darling basin. The company serves 500 customers growing crops including wheat, barley, rice and vegetables. Coleambally began implementing a Rubicon TCC® Demand Integrated Network Control Solution in 2003.
