Can Organic Farming Feed China?
Through a personal journey beyond organic food itself, this short film attempts to give a glimpse of sustainable agriculture in China while trying to explore a question long lingering in my mind: can organic farming feed the Chinese? The short documentary was shot in November 2013 in various locations in China.

Comments from interviewees pointed to blunt facts; policies discourage Organic farming, increasing costs. Sustainability depends on frugal use of resources and focus on recycling nutrients. Thank you for this spotlight on issues which all countries must face. -
Behind the Scenes
I wrote the script for this documentary and made the film in a difficult time of my life which has been beyond my words. At the end, everything came out naturally: did not speak about the film with most of the people before the filming and nobody in the documentary read my script and all were done spontaneously. The last farmer in the film spoke out what I wanted to get across to the public knowing nothing about my intention!
The Chinese version (slightly longer) will be out to the Chinese public soon.
There are a lot more about the sustainable farming in China to be revealed...
