He is back - George from TJ Travel in Tanah Rata. While in Bangkok I became familiar with the fascinating place in Thai history that Jim Thompson has. I did a blog called "Bangkok: The Jim Thompson House". The saddest part of the Jim Thompson story was that he went on a holiday in 1967 in the Cameron Highlands of Malaysia and was never heard of again. Based on that I just had to go to the Cameron Highlands and see for myself the beauty that it holds and the possibility for getting lost, so to speak. Near the end of this blog I explore Gunung Bringchang the second highest peak in the Cameron Highlands (correction from the video where I say it is the highest point) and the Mossy Forest. Both provide apple evidence that it would not be difficult to "get lost". OK so that is what brought me to the Cameron Highlands but I left in awe of the Boh Tea Plantation and the extreme beauty that is a natural part of a tea plantation due to the nature of the terrain and the tea plant. Up till now I worshiped the beauty of rice plantations but after having seen the tea plantations of the Cameron Highlands the tea beats out the rice for beauty. My visit to the Tanah Rata region of the Cameron Highlands was greatly enhance by meeting "George" of TJ Travel - Tanah Rata. Once again his personality come through to delight.
