Cabinet approves national offshore wind energy policy, says Piyush Goyal

New Delhi, Sept 09 (ANI): Power Minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday said that Cabinet has approved national offshore wind energy policy to provide pace to the current situation of energy production in India. He elaborated the policy and said government has checked the velocity of wind in coastal areas and found it appropriate for the policy to be implemented. He added that if the government works on the entire coastline of the nation, India might become the largest source of solar energy in future. He also added that world is looking forward towards renewable energy and government is working on the same.
