Koi are more ornamental for commercial buildings such as ponds & malls home or industrial gardens. Orientals look as them as fortune spirits not for food...
-
koi fry ate culled at various stages feeder fish mostly
-
for one these fish arnt for food. the meat industry doesnt kill animals that are ugly. they only kill ones that are diseased. the pet industry is just as bad as meat industry. fucked up world we live in.
-
yeah like you eat "discarded" cows, pigs and chickens! you a wanna be arm-chair warrior
-
@FiestyCat86 Probably become dead feeder fish................
-
their not merchandise their animals "discarded" is just a nice word for killed. fucking pussy ass japanese
-
@sorryunlucky Ok, I thought it was just the removal, not that I don't know what culling is by definition, I just thought maybe there was a chance it was less severe than that. I've culled piglets before and that broke my heart. Most were on deaths door step anyway, but it wasn't a good way go for them. So I was kinda hoping these fish maybe made it as "lower class" pets or something. But I know better. I'm not naive, although sometimes I wish I was.

It is okay to do like they do just so you all know it.. It is only fish not humans, if they would let the fishes out in like a lake our something it wouldn´t work because they have to many fishes each year. God bless you all, inJesus name!

@AlanMolstad that does make sense and I know that I tend to be a bleeding heart, even though I am definitely not a vegetarian or anything. And I do go fishing, so I know what you mean with the minnow thing, although I use worms and I feel guilty for it. lolz. thanks.
-
@FiestyCat86 ....here is a little story my dad once told me that helps: Long ago he took me fishing and showed me the minnows that would be the bate for our hooks. I like to hold the bag they were in and I enjoyed their movements. But dad reminded me, "Dont give names to your bate" Its good advice. Like a farmer that weeds his garden. It makes room for the crop. Its important to do, but dont ask the weeds their view of it.

@AlanMolstad thats seems such a waste of such a pretty fish. i mean just cause they don't have one thing they are thrown away? IDK it seems such a barbaric thing to do.
