This is about 4 months since we looked at the walnut seedlings, one died or was dug up by squirrels but the rest are doing fine for the first year. I planted the seeds last September and then some came up volunteer, maybe the squirrels buried them and forgot where the put them or was killed before they could dig them up and eat them. It might start looking like a jungle around here if all the trees do good but that's fine with me, it makes it a little harder to cut the grass but it ain’t that bad. It is the first of August and the leaves will start to fall off the walnut trees soon and then the nuts will be soon to follow. As I mentioned in the other walnut video, it is best to put some hardware cloth or chicken wire on the ground right over the walnut seeds and kind of stake it down to keep the squirrels from digging them up . Thanks for watching.
