You people are disgusting. If these farmers were happy then, they are not now, because BT cotton does not work like Monsanto said it would. Indian farmers are committing suicide in large amounts because they have huge debt problems. How do they commit suicide? They drink the pesticide Monsanto said they wouldn't have to buy anymore!

they're seeds of suicide for the farmers...this corporation wanting to patent plants (living organisms), keep farmers connected to the market and make healthy profits from it. The only problem is....this causes more pain to the farming community than the corporations. Often farmers end up killing themselves because the corporations who sell the seeds control the price of the seeds.

except the fact that seeds from the plants cant be germinated by themselves and if they do a multi-billion company tries to sue a farmer living on $0.50 a day if he doesnt buy their product

12.3 million farmers in 15 developing countries are adopting this technology because they know biotech crops deliver more yield per acre with less input costs and with less impact on the environment. As the world struggles to feed a growing population amid the environmental challenges brought about by climate change, farmers in every country need all the help they can get.
