The #BigWestern brought together the West Coast coffee community in the heart of the Downtown Arts District at Lot 613 (Mobile Version: http://youtu.be/gKVEqpDcUi4). The 3 day event sponsored by Curtis / Portola Coffee Lab and produced by the SCAA / BGA was all about a little friendly competition with baristas coming from all over California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Hawaii, and even Alaska to get a chance to win a trip to nationals in Seattle. The Big Western reunited old coffee veterans / pros while new venders were introduced to the coffee world. Overall, the weekend was a great success and fun for competitors as well as the many spectators that came out to learn about coffee or to cheer on friends. Congratulations to all the winners!
