Hi! I live in Cancun, Mexico. We usually have over 25°C and 2/3 of the year with sunny days. Could I use these too?

Thank you I just decided to start gardening here and this is so incredibly helpful. Sadly many of my plants have bolted since I started. Now know which ones to plant next. Thanks for your hard work John!

Thank you so much. I moved to Oahu from the main land and was frustrated with the nurseries here. They are all excellent with ornamental shrubs and fruit trees but lacking when it comes to veggie info. I have noticed that the few places that sell "local" seeds are gems. Some of the older locals are great as well.

I have a special issue. I like to grow food indoors, as I live in Alaska. I used to experiment often with "what will grow here by accident"...but have also have found some crops HATE to stay in the house. So...my solution seems simple...import Hawaiian seeds for indoor agriculture since it is used to such heat....right? Am I nuts? Cold weather crops in garage....hot weather upstairs?

Thanks John! You posted this awesome video on my birthday and it was a topic I was really hoping you'd cover. (I'm also glad to see that I'm not crazy for trying to grow things in the Las Vegas heat.)

I love when you say "This is one of my favorites." Have you posted a video on collecting seeds from your garden? or How to get seeds from your favorite plant in the garden. I enjoy your videos and have leaned alot from watching.

John,
Great information about hot plant growth. Ordered more greens from your following information about the great new greens. Would like to know where to get some other green seeds for garden? I want to do the donation where you give information with phone call. Where is this link to do this?
Thanks,
John N. Porter -
I'm enjoying all the Hawaii videos. If you are going to go state-by-state choose Washington state to do a video series next! (or send a magic potion to repel slugs without using chemicals)

Great video, John. I live in Florida and figure that most of what grows well in Hawaii should fair well in Florida. I wrote down just about every seed you discussed and 'am waiting for my catalog. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge.

Komatsuna is a variety of Japanese mustard that grows well in most climates, year round. Has anyone else grown it? Mine is still young, but doing well in California so far.

It's pronounced Ko Oh Lau. Both "O" sounds are said like the "O" sound in boat. :)
