Cane sugar is processed the same as maple sugar. Take liquid stored in sugar cane plant (take sugar stored in tree), boil down liquid to concentrate into syrup, process further to make sugar. Neither one is GMO. Now if you are talking beets, the process changes and you need beets that have been modified to provide the stuff you change into beet sugar.

@project10bball well how do you think they get the stevia to a white powdered form? refining, just like sugar cane! liquid extract i the herb that is steeped in glycerin which is just better for you.
