P.M.Abe's revitalization of Japan's farm: Change individual farms to corporate ownership managed by Monsanto and Dow chemical traded in Wall Street by Hedge fund financed by Goldman Sach! No more mom pop farm, Only Big box farms just like US---What's your take on this?

they are going have an issue in 10 yrs

Nice. I read that 50 percent of all Japanese workers were farmers before WW II, and now, there are barely none. I think people have forgotten how rewarding this work can be even though the pay is low and work is hard. But the rewards are worth it in my opinion. Now they move to Tokyo or other big cities and end up being very unhappy even though they earn a lot more money

their rice is precious to them... my father in law will not even let his son or cousin drive the bloody tractor... sad

come work on my farm if you can get here I have a tent :p

nothing worth taking here... at least unlike the US Japan spends the money for its people and not on stupid wars best thing is it provides free healthcare to the age of 11 -- why would I want to have kids in the US? There is no obesity here either, no GMO toxic crops, GMO labeling. Fuck GMO USA and the 1% who have hijacked the country.

Declining young population, fiscal national debt 250 percent of their GDP, deflation of farm products after joining TPP....... Sun is setting on Japan..... No wonder....China is flying and circling around Japan like vultures. They can take over the country without war..... Their days are numbered? Wonder?

I wouldn't mind planting rice in a small town if they gave me a working visa from NY. I grew up in the country side so i know how tough life can be as a farmer. The reward for me is being close to nature and away from the city.

Unfortunately, I not very well versed on it. I just report on what I see.

Japan is basically wasting money on pork-barrel projects. I think you should talk about the difference between "direct subsidies" (EU & USA) v. "indirect subsidies" (Japan).
-
depends... if large agro companies take over then they rely on agro chemicals a lot more.

Japan should start to immigrate people from India just like in middle east!
