In 2012 the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area celebrated its centenary in Griffith, Leeton and Yanco celebrating the success of this productive, efficient and clean agricultural area which has help feed the growing population of the world. The Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area in southern New South Wales was officially opened on the 13th July 1912 by the minister for works of the time Arthur Griffith, in whom the city of Griffith was named. This video shows the diverse variety of food and fibre the MIA produces.
