ASTUTY is Indonesian and lives in the province of South East Aceh. She is one of the successful graduates from the Cocoa Farmer Field Schools held by Swisscontact . She has been able to scale up her production up to 5.4 tons per hectare per year from previous production of 1.5 per hectare per year. SECO provides funding to continue the success of the Swisscontact’s previous cocoa program by contributing in the ongoing SCPP (Sustainable Cocoa Production Program) which targets 60,000 cocoa farmers for capacity development, including improvement to managerial, financial and organizational capacities --------------- About SCPP Sustainable Cocoa Production Program (SCPP) is a large Public Private Partnership initially implemented in 2012-2015 with a main focus to build better capacity among smallholder cocoa farmers to improve the quantity and quality of cocoa production. The program is supported by various donors including the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH), Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN), and private sector cocoa companies, namely ADM Cocoa, Barry Callebaut, BT Cocoa, Cargill, Ecom, Mars, Mondelēz International, and Nestlé.
