Vietnam's Mekong River Delta region is preapring for flooding and fresh water shortages, the effects of climate change. Vietnam's state broadcaster VTV4 reports on efforts to reinforce dikes to protect farmland, and other measures to prevent flooding and erosion. Meanwhile in China, the country is facing a shortage of arable land, and whatever hasn't already been polluted, washed away, or turned into desert land is being used for big development. And China's state broadcaster CCTV reports that some of that construction is quite extravagant.
