Asia University spent five years cultivating a new variety of rice that can be harvested two weeks earlier than regular rice. It also improves yields by nearly 70 percent, leading to a potentially big increase in farm income. These harvesters are busy processing mature rice plants. It's the second rice harvest in Nantou's Tsaotun region.
