-
its a wind turbine/rotating multi storie toilet cubicle

Now I wanna see a video of one of the nuclear power plants which produce the main portion of electricity in Japan.
-
*hypnotised by the cool looking turbines*
-
I think ridiculous would be understating the usefulness of this crap...and apparently nobody seems to care about the visual pollution they create, the fact that in all these years no "wind-farm" has managed to pay its cost, or the numerous accidents, and deaths created by these monstrosities. Not to mention the "elephant-in-the-room", building them, transporting them, and installing them creates a far bigger footprint (if you believe in that nonsense) then the benefits obtained in their life-cy
-
Are you sure they produce electricity? It doesn't look so...
-
@ScoundrelzNTwK Naw, I have something against coal plants and nuclear waste.
-
We need more of those in America.
-
Those are probably way safer than those first kind. We have those first kind all over Colorado, when it gets too cold they have to shut them off or giant icicles come flying off of them at crazy speed. And other scary stuff too..

" Fabulous"

I think the new version is much better, Looks more like a structure than the old one just sticking out of the ground and also affecting the background.
-
That is so cool.
-
if you want more info on interesting vertical turbines see windside com
-
Looks like these ones are based on the Darrius design. They are cheaper 'cos the generator can be located on the ground due to the vertical axis. They start easier but as far as I know the wind speed they can handle is limited
-
@lazyvietboy24 Wind power provides less than 0.2 percent of Japan's energy supply. wind+solar combined, around 1% I don't know the stats in US, but it can hardly be worse than that.
-
If Japan can do it, why can't Americans do it?
-
thats really cool
-
Being in Japan I would think those turbines would be incorperated into some kind of robot statue for fun.
