at about 16:50 there's a so called expert that says there is no solitary species of ant well I'm no expert but instantly the jumping jack ant came to mine which is a solitary hunter and has no hive. no point in watching this documentary anymore as who knows how much false information is in it.

This is an outstanding documentary. Wow. I had a little bit of an idea, but this is astounding. And the implications for the health of ecological communities, plus the impacts of human degradation are not addressed, but alluded to, and require exploration.

The narrator has said that a male's sperm can be preserved for 20, even 30 years! BUT can a queen ant live that long? I don't think so. Or is sperm passed to subsequent individual queens over the generations? I wish that question had been addressed. How is that done? And how is it decided which male's sperm is preserved? Does it mean I might still be a Dad even after I fucked her 23 years ago? (It was just a one-night stand. She had the cutest little antennae I'd ever seen. What a babe.)
