It was created by Dan Signer, a former writer and executive producer of The Suite Life on Deck. In mid-November 2010, the network green-lighted a 13-episode order. The series will star China Anne McClain, Sierra McCormick, Jake Short and Stefanie Scott as middle-schoolers in a gifted program at the local high school called the "Advanced Natural Talent" program, or ANT. Production began in early 2011 and is scheduled to premiere this summer. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chyna Parks (China Anne McClain) is a musically-inclined 11-year old girl who is part of the ANT program in high school. She is the lead character of the series. Olive Doyle (Sierra McCormick) is described as a know-it-all. She remembers everything she's heard, seen or read. Fletcher Quimby (Jake Short) is an artistic genius. Lexi Reed (Stefanie Scott) is a student at the high school.
