American Rottweiler vs German Rottweiler vs Serbian rottweiler
In this video I will try to explain the difference between all of types of rottweilers. Both Amercian,German and recently very popular Serbian rottweiler. The Rottweiler is a breed of domestic dog, regarded as medium-to-large or large. The dogs were known in German as Rottweiler Metzgerhund, meaning Rottweil butchers' dogs, because they were used to herd livestock and pull carts laden with butchered meat and other products to market. The Rottweiler was employed in its traditional roles until the mid-19th century when railways replaced droving for herding livestock to market. While still used in herding, Rottweilers are now used as search and rescue dogs, as guide dogs for the blind, as guard dogs or police dogs, and in other roles. Rottweiler breeders aim at a dog of abundant strength, black coated with clearly defined rich tan markings, whose powerful appearance does not lack nobility and which is exceptionally well suited to being a companion, service and working dog. This breed is all about balance, endurance, proportionality, intelligence and strength. The various standards in place for the Rottweiler's physical appearance specify these characteristics.

I have a American Rottweiler and she is not poor breed

So basically, this video is based on ignorant opinion and no facts.
-
so... we all can agree that Serbian rottweiler looks the best :)
-
Also was a couple of the pics of Persey from Bosnia?
-
the last line about being bred for looks, is that in general or referring to the Serbian Rotti's?
-
just hard to find good working lines in america, much easier in germany
-
So where did this breed originate? I'm a little confused here. The name originates in what today is Germany correct? I always had the understanding that the Romans developed the breed.
-
Rottweilers are german. There is no such thing as an american or serbian Rottweiler.
-
I prefer the Roman Style Rotti
-
IMO, the Jeneck's lines are the only "German working" lines I have seen that have been consistent in type for 25+ years and have stayed away from today's trend of HUGE foreheads, round eyes, high set ears and Pug faces. A Wotan or Uno pup any day over todays crap.

Italian Rottweilers are the best tho

the Fak yeees

I think that the rottweilers we have in germany are inbreads and have many issues like hip dysplasia etc,,,if you want healthy dogs look at the scandinavian countries
-
there's no german american or whatever fucking country etc rottweiler .... there's just rottweiler ...

What a bullshit video. There are tons of properly bred, beautiful Rottweilers in the US. In fact there are probably more properly bred Rottweilers in the US than in Germany due to the sheer numbers of Rottweilers in the US. Breeding has nothing to do with where the dog was bred. Ever watched Westminster.
There isn't even such a thing as an American Rottweilers. Pure, properly bred Rottweilers in the US look the same as pure, properly bred Rottweilers in Germany or anywhere else. It's all in the breeding, not the country of origin. -
Thanks for posting : Unprofessional and unscrupulous breeding is the most damaging ailment of the dog world ! From Pitbulls to Rottweilers to German Shepherds, careless breeders are spoiling the beautiful characteristics and looks of certain dog breeds.

There's no difference between German Rottweilers and American Rottweilers except where they are born. Now there is a difference in poorly bred and correctly bred. Every breeder has a certain look in mind when they do a breeding that is no different than what they do in Germany or anywhere else. If you like a dog with a bigger head there are tons of American breeders that produce litters with that look. I have many Rottweilers one who looks amazing and does great in the show ring and she has a lot of American bred dogs in her line but she looks identical to "German Rottweilers" I have another who's mom is a Crotia import and dad is a German important and my boy was the only one in his pedigree to be born in USA so technically he's American but you can't tell at all he even has a natural tail. So those of you who swear there's a difference please do your research and talk to local reputable breeders.

American ROTTS have lighter almost "Tan" markings, have smaller heads, thinner bones, and are taller.
German ROTTS have dark rust markings. large blocky heads, heavy boned a little shorter.
tail docking is a must.
I have had both, there is a difference in the DNA -
American rottweiler is an oxymoron
