Côte d'Ivoire is the world biggest producer and exporter of raw cashew nuts. Sadly the country is not making profit from the cashew nuts because 95% of the cashews are exported without being processed.
The Ivorian government and private sector must heavily invest in the industrialization of the cashew by setting up many cashew processing plants. Côte d'Ivoire must have an established base of local small, medium and large enterprises involved in the processing and marketing of the finished cashew products for the local, regional, continental and global markets. -
