A Small Chinese Cooking Lesson on a Local Farm Yangshuo, China
http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com The ex-Marine (husband, Steve) and I thought we'd try new experiences during this particular visit to China. Not that cooking is something new for me. I won't even go into how many years I've been doing that! And not that I will even attempt to cook Chinese at home because I've been there, done it, and the prep time just isn't worth it. Also, take a look at the size of that wok people. No wonder I can never get my little wok hot enough. We stopped at a small village on the way to Yangshuo for a mini-lesson with the nicest family. I couldn't get over how the lady of the house was able to chop red chili without burning the daylights out of her hands. Especially since they were so strong that when I threw them into the wok, Steve and I nearly choked to death from these chili. Strong and potent, I bet they'd be great for congestion...
