Description Harvested last Spring, this Temomi (Hand Rolled) Shincha is an award winning tea from the town of Wazuka Japan. Every Spring, tea farmers throughout Japan gather to harvest and process their villages' tea; submitting them to regional competitions. This competitions serve to set the bar for the years harvest and Wazuka has won several years in a row, fetching auctions prices as high as $1500USD/kg (~$750/lb). Fortunately, we've secured 20g for the lucky few who wish to sip this precious leaf. The needle shapes are immaculate, the smell crisp, and the flavour of sea breeze and leafy greens. The secret? The leaves never touched a machine during all 16hrs of processing.
