Awesome video as always Patrick! There is so much to learn about gardening that I wish there were 48 hours in a day....:)
-
Good info as usual Patrick. If it was squash bugs that attacked my squash this year I will put your method to the test next summer.
-
FYI bio char really poor soil https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGtajGPNLN8

I"m really just a novice gardener myself, but I really appreciate your channel. I have a question about the compost thing. Have you observed any of the symptoms of excessive nutrients in the soil (for example, leggy tomatoes that don't fruit), or is your concern about the excess nutrients based on just the soil test?
-
I notice that you break the leaves of your greens rather than cutting them. I would have thought breaking them would leave them more open to bacteria or disease, where as cutting would be less likely to cause problems. Any insight? I always take a box cutter out and cut mine.
Thank you for all the information you share with us. -
Just found your channel. A Youtube friend suggested it to me. Loved the video. I will definitely be back. I've always called them cabbage moths too.

Very good video Patrick and I also like that we all learn tricks and tips from each other :-)

To much compost wow I did not know that was a thing! Thank you for sharing these tips and thing you have learned over the years. I feel like I get the most from your channel because you are not doing thing just to do thing or because other say to do them. You do your own research and and share the results for the world to see. I have learned so much from your channel. I love to see all the improvements you have made over the years! The amazing thing is that you keep making improvements! When I think it can't get any better you come up with something new! Awesome channel Keep up the great work! A side note I have finally caught up with all your videos :)

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you ... Less work at my age gardening is a win, win, if it's not going to further my garden.. Happy Holidays to you and your family... Take care, Laura from Northern Ontario, Canada...

I used to lose courage every summer while gardening under the South Texas (San Antonio) sun; because of your teaching about cover crops, I now have renewed confidence in managing God's great creation called gardening....not to mention the time and money I can now save on water and extra amendments. Thanks a million.

I just heard how cold it is for you, please stay in side keep worm,

I think that's one of the great things about the YT gardening community, Patrick! We learn from each other, which is the reason we make videos ; )
-
Thank you very much for the video.I believe when you cut leafy greens, you must cut it from the base and not in the middle point. When you cut it at the base of the stem it regrows back better.

AACT has been a staple in my gardens for years and I swear by it. There are so many variables that come into play with the product, I really do not see how "peer reviewed science" could make such a broad statement. I am going to have to look into the article to see how they came up with that conclusion. This may end up as one of the top 5 things that I have learned from this community should it prove true. Don't know that it will change my method of growing but it will certainly be an interesting read!

Iv have always believed a humble man is a wise man, and you are proving that to still be true.

In this age of "disinformation" it is refreshing to have a resource that you can rely on , thank you for caring to be right for all our sakes and not just your own . You candor is greatly appreciated Patrick . All the best to you and Oscar this holiday season.

I have a question, what about the new science of Epigenetics? that even as we live our life different genes are turned on and off due to the environment we live in? surely this effects clones as well?
