This video proudly displays three of our Yunnan Sourcing brand teas from our 2011 production. CHA QI: We are pleased to present a wonderfully unique and enjoyable tea cake we call "Cha Qi". It's a blend of three Bu Lang villages with tea from both spring and autumn 2011 harvests. The tea itself is made from high quality wild arbor (abandoned plantation) and ancient arbor tea leaves. Interestingly these teas before being blended together were fairly bitter, but once brought together the bitterness is less intense. The aroma is subtle but thick and stubborn, the mouth feel is pungent and lubricating, and the Cha Qi is quite strong, but without being overwhelming. You may feel quite tea drunk after drinking several brews of this tea. JING GU: Jing Gu Yang Ta village is in Jing Gu county of Simao prefecture (景谷秧塔寨). It is well known for it's "Da Bai" (大白 - Big White) tea. Actually the tea here is not Camellia Sinensis rather another varietal called Camellia Taliensis. Camellia Taliensis growing in Jing Gu's red soil has prominent large fat leaves and hairy white buds. Tea from this region is well-known for it's beautiful appearance, and tea sellers have been know to blend this tea with Yi Wu tea to make it (Yi Wu tea) more beautiful and bright in appearance while at the same time bolstering it's sweetness and thickness. MU SHU CHA: Our 2011 Spring "Mu Shu Cha" (母树茶) refers to the mother tea trees of Mengku where the oldest and most primitive Yunnan Large Leaf varietal tea trees still flourish. Our Mu Shu comes from 100-300 year old tea trees growing near Bingdao village in the south of Mengku county of Lincang. For more information, visit www.yunnansourcing.com!
