From tiny pygmy seahorses to giant giraffes, these are 20 INVISIBLE Animal Photos that will shock you! Lets see how many you can spot. 10. This picture taken by photographer Art Wolfe in Oregon shows the great disappearing ability of Grey Owls. It is somewhat easy to spot if you know what you are looking for, but prey, and predator alike, do not have the luxury of examining every tree branch so closely ! 9. This sleepy owl has nothing to worry about because of the great spot it chose to take a nap. The beautiful color of its feathers blends in with the color of the tree trunk surrounding it. 8. Nothing to see here, just an ordinary tree, with an extra ordinary frog on it ! Even though our brains are great at detecting patterns and faces in the wild, this gray tree frog is still tough to make out. The photographer did an amazing job showcasing just how well these frogs can hide from predators and prey alike. They vary in color depending on exact locations and with many different sub species, these frogs are found all over North America and Europe. 7. Piet Grobler took this awesome picture of multi colored rocks… the spider is just an afterthought ! In reality, this is a sub species of the aptly named wolf spider. If this photo didn’t freak you out enough, here is one of a female wolf spider carrying her young. They are venomous, and after enough provocation, they will bite ! So be careful if you are trying to take your own close up photo ! 6. Coral reefs are hotspots for divers because they offer some of the most breathtaking underwater sceneries. Sometimes, the breath taking part can last forever. Especially if you don’t notice that one of the most venomous fish known, the stone fish ! Even though there are only a few reported cases of fatalities from stonefish stings, it is still considered one dangerous fish to step on!! 5. Perfect placement for the perfect camouflage, this photograph is the best example of the common baron caterpillar’s ingenuity . These little creatures can be found, if you look hard enough, in Southeast Asia, and India. 4. Tree branches are the perfect hiding spot for birds that like to sleep during the day. Can you spot the the Tawny Frogmouth in this photo? The angle at which the bird sleeps is perfectly aligned with the decaying tree, making it possible to have peace and quiet. These birds are native to Australia and their diet consists of mostly farm pests, this makes them very popular among farmers who want to protect their land ! 3. At first glance, this photo seems incredibly boring. Just a close up of some tree branches and leafs. Can you spot the insect? No it is not another leaf tailed gecko hiding in plain sight. This time around, it is walking stick. These creatures have many different names and subspecies, each one having its own talents and unique looks, with one common denominator. They all look like sticks ! At this point, you might be asking yourself, just how BIG can these stick insects get ? The biggest one on record is almost two FEET (54 cm) long ! The specimen was found in Vietnam and was considered to be a newly discovered species ! 2. Next time you are taking a dip off the coast in Southern Australia, beware of aptly named leafy sea dragon. This wizard of disguise resembles seaweed, and all the leafy extras dangling around are used for nothing more than camouflage, as this picture shows, it would be very easy to swim by this sea dragon and not even take a second look. 1. No list of great deceivers and shocking invisible animals would be complete without the MIMIC octopus. This photo of the elusive creature shows how the mimic octopus can become one with the white sandy ocean floor. The only thing you can clearly make out are the protruding eyes.
