you can microwave dry the leaves.

When you go to Taiwan, you should have a go at processing the tea with the farmers. There's nothing like climbing between bushes, with all the heady aromas around you, surrounded by amazing scenery. Also, Taiwanese tea farmers are crazy drivers in the mountains, and I think everyone needs to experience this; it's scary but it's completely unique and I thought it was fun.

Hey Denny, I have not watched all your episodes yet, but where did you get your tea vessel, the clear one with the nifty strainer on top? I like that a lot!

Hi Denny
Love the experiment!
I was wondering; did you do anything to the seeds in terms of preparation before you planted them? Or did you basically just plant them and crossed your fingers so to speak? :)
(I just ordered some Camelia Sinensis seeds myself) -
Making your own tea is definitely easier said than done. I've experimented a few times with fresh leaves from +Boston Teawrights and the results were...interesting. My tea plants were grown from seed and are only a few months old so I've still got some time before I can do a harvest of my own :)

Excellent episode... I want to do this.

Nice

There's maybe a tea gardener in you somewhere ! Otherwise, maybe you should focus on your trip in tea-growing-land :)
-
What fun! Keep laughing Denny, it's contagious :)

AWESOME! & incredible episode
-
Lol that's fun! What kind of pan did you use? Cast iron, stainless? Cast iron might get closer to their hot woks!!
-
next time, don't rinse it... ???
that rinse looked a lot darker -
this is such an awesome episode! i hope you will keep experimenting with your tea plant!
when i went i vietnam, in the north, families had their tea garden, and when i had fresh green tea they didnt bother frying it or whatever, they put it straight in the pitcher, but they filler the pitcher with leaves and then added water to fill the space between and let it steep for....well forever basically until we were done drinking, i dont know why but it never went bitter
anyways thanks for the video that was great to watch!
