ระบำชาวนา Rice Growers' Dance

ระบำชาวนา เป็นระบำชุดหนึ่งที่กรมศิลปากรมอบให้นายมนตรี ตราโมท ผู้เชี่ยวชาญดนตรีไทยและศิลปินแห่งชาติ เป็นผู้แต่งทำนองเพลง และท่านผู้หญิงแผ้ว สนิทวงศ์เสนี ผู้เชี่ยวชาญนาฏศิลป์ไทยและศิลปินแห่งชาติ เป็นผู้ประดิษฐ์ท่ารำ ลีลาท่ารำและทำนองเพลงสะท้อนให้เห็นชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ การประกอบอาชีพกสิกรรมของชาวนาผู้เป็นกระดูกสันหลังของชาติ Rice Growers' Dance This is a new dance, created by the Fine Arts Department. The music is composed by Archarn Montri Tramod and the choreography is by Than Puying Paew Snidvongseni. The dancers are dressed in the traditional costume of Thai rice growers and the dance is designed to reflect the daily routine of these people who form the backbone of the nation. It begins with the fresh atmosphere of an early morning when the planters go out to plow and sow. Later, when the rice is growing well they gather to worship Mae Posop, the goddess who presides over rice farming.
